Bachelor Degree In Mechanical Engineering
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering The University of North Dakota offers students to earn the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. This degree program prepares students for the responsible practice of professional engineering and provides them with the necessary skills to advance their mechanical engineering career. They will receive a well-rounded education that emphasizes creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills. Our graduates are able to possess the technical, leadership, and communication skills for entry-level positions in the power, aircraft, automotive, defense, or other industries. They have a broad understanding of thermal sciences, mechanical design, and manufacturing processes; develop critical thinking and problem solving skills using the principles of science and mathematics.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Using a combination of theory and laboratory instruction, the Mechanical Engineering Certificate program produces graduates who can apply scientific and engineering principles to solve mechanical engineering problems. Graduates of this program are able to: create, modify, and improve engineering designs using conventional and computer-based methods; perform engineering tests that support product development; use Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software/systems to conduct engineering design and analysis; design and trouble-shoot automated control systems; design specialized jigs and fixtures; and analyze problems involving machine design, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer.
