Bachelor of Arts in Emergency and Disaster Management The undergraduate degree in Emergency and Disaster Management (EDM) is designed for students interested in pursuing careers in emergency management and public safety careers. Throughout the program, students are introduced to the all-hazards approach, emergency and disaster management phases, risk assessment, prevention and management, counter-terrorism, consequence management, mitigation, and recovery. APUS's Emergency and Disaster Management program is accredited by the Foundation of Higher Education for Disaster and Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management The Emergency Management program focuses on disaster prevention, planning, preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery. The curriculum covers needs and issues, operations management, planning and response, and terrorism and is designed to provide students with a global outlook, interpersonal skills, and emergency management knowledge and skills. Students are prepared for leadership positions in emergency management in government and industry or for graduate study in emergency management, homeland security, or management and leadership.
Bachelor of Arts in Emergency Services Administration The Bachelor of Arts in Emergency Services Administration is designed to provide the education and skills to enter into or seek promotion within careers in government, private, or public agencies whose focus is on emergency services administration. Within this program, you focus on Fire Science Administration by taking courses that are designed to help you acquire a general knowledge of management, organizational, and policy issues while advancing your professional communication, computer, and quantitative skills.
