Bachelor Degree In Distance Education
Bachelor of Science in Adult Education Bachelor of Science in Adult Education is an accelerated undergraduate degree program offered by the College of Professional Studies. This program prepares students for instructional responsibilities in professional education settings, such as vocational education, adult education, and training. On completion of the program students will understand how continuing education and training leads to improved performance in the classroom and the workplace. Throughout the program, students will develop an awareness of the surrounding environment and will learn to develop, enhance, and deliver curriculum effectively to meet the needs of that environment. This program is ideal for professionals teaching at the college level (community or technical colleges), people who provide vocational education, or students who wish to go into training and development positions.
Bachelor of Science in Advanced Technological Education If you have earned a two-year Applied Associates Degree and have work experience, you may qualify for this program and enter BGSU’s online degree completion program. You will advance your career and profit new employment directions. Coursework combines general education requirements with a core curriculum that includes an applied concentration from your associate degree. This program will teach you theory and skills in communication, training program development, new technology systems and project management.
Bachelor of Arts in Social Science Education This Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies degree program prepares students to teach social studies in middle and secondary schools. It is designed as a State of Hawai’i Department of Education approved content area, and may be used by students seeking a State of Hawai’i license to teach in secondary schools. This license is earned within the Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree program. Please consult your advisor. In addition to this approved content area, students must complete additional licensing courses in Education, which may be applied toward the M.Ed. degree.
Bachelor of Science in Business Education The Bachelor of Science in Business Education degree program is designed to prepare graduates to work as public school business teachers (including middle grades and high school), teachers/trainers in business and industry, and other business and industry personnel, in which applicants are required to have a business/teaching background. The curriculum of this major is broad and comprehensive providing students with meaningful instruction for and about business. Throughout the program, students will learn business skills and techniques, gain an understanding of basic economics, and attitudes necessary to enable students to participate in the economy as wage earners and consumers. The BS in Business Education program is offered on campus as well as entirely online.
Bachelor of Science in Design & Technology Education The Design and Technology degree program prepares teachers of technology education for grades K-12 with a Michigan Department of Education K-12 Provisional Certificate qualifying the prospective teacher in areas such as computer-aided design, robotics, manufacturing and other industrial technology subjects. Graduates may also qualify for a vocational endorsement (Temporary Vocational Authorization) by completing 36 hours of directly related technical course work and have two years of occupational experience in employment related to the area of study. Options for cooperative work experience are available to students as partial credit toward that occupational requirement. This major must be completed in conjunction with the technology education curriculum.
Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education / Business Education & Technology The Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in Business Education and Technology is a degree offered by the College of Education in conjunction with the Ken Blanchard College of Business. The aim of this program is to prepare students for a career in teaching business courses in grades 7 - 12. Graduates of this program will have the opportunity to build careers as business teachers and/or corporate training.
Bachelor of Science in Music Education The Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education is intended to prepare those individuals who wish to teach music at levels N-12 in public or private schools.
Bachelor of Arts in Christian School Education The Christian School Education program is designed to prepare individuals to serve as school teachers in Christian schools. This program enables students to meet the teacher certification requirements (elementary, middle, and secondary) of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Persons may fulfill education requirements for ordination as deacon of Christian Education in the Church of the Nazarene by completing additional courses.
Bachelor of Science in Business Education The Bachelor of Science in Business Education degree program is designed to prepare students for a career as a business educator or information technology professional in education, business, government, and other organizations. The curriculum of this program combines teaching, technology, communication, critical thinking, leadership, ethics and team building with professionalism. Within this program, students may concentrate in computer technology, economics, or marketing. Students may take this program entirely online.
Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education degree program is designed to prepare students for a career in fields including secondary education, adult education, 4-H youth development, agribusiness, legal professions, higher education, or federal and state government. This program is custom-tailored for students who have already earned an associate's degree under the guidelines of the 2+2 Online Studies program. The courses in the online Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education major are the same courses offered by the on-campus program, but you take your courses entirely online.
Bachelors Degree in Technology and Application Training
Bachelor of Science in Educational Computing Learn how information systems are applied in educational contexts, including instruction, group work, administration, and e-learning. Gain the knowledge to help educators and trainers choose technology tools and systems, and participate in the creation of sound security and privacy policies. Bachelor of Science in Assistive Technology The Certificate in Assistive Technology program equips students with an in-depth skill level and practical competencies in delivering assistive technology services to persons with disabilities. The certificate content is based on nationally recognized competency statements of various professional organizations (American Speech and Hearing Association, RESNA). The graduates of the program will be prepared to take national credentialing exams should they choose to do so. The program addresses the needs for comprehensive training efforts with the option for developing specific technology specialization, an area currently lacking in our state. The program of study supports existing training efforts at both the awareness and advanced knowledge levels for completing a comprehensive, integrated assistive technology training model for Arizona’s service providers.
