Bachelor of Applied Arts in Communication Arts

Students dedicated to building professional careers in print media, music, linguistics, journalism, and the closely-related fields of public relations, advertising and organizational communications, will find a Bachelor of Applied Studies in Communication and Arts program to meet their needs and to challenge their skills and interests. The curriculum is designed to prepare students to pursue careers as communications professionals in the media-rich communications industries and corporations. Within this program they will be taught in the following: Art & Art History; Communications Studies; Creative & Nonfiction Writing; Dance; Journalism & Mass Communication; Linguistics; Music; Rhetoric; and Theatre Arts.

 

Bachelor of Applied Arts in Building Code Administration

Our BAA works well for students working in administrative careers in the public, non-profit and private sectors. This program provides you with a foundation in administrative competencies that are common to most supervisory positions, and the concentrations allow you to focus on an area of particular interest. With this degree you can take maximum advantage of licensure or other credentials you have already earned in your field.

 

Bachelor of Applied Arts in Organization Administration

The Bachelor of Applied Studies in Social Sciences provides its students with a thorough basic understanding of the following subjects in the social sciences and humanities: Anthropology, Economics, Geography, Global Studies, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. The program also emphasizes the methods used in the social sciences, especially empirical social research and statistics.

Bachelor of Applied Arts in Natural Science and Math

The Bachelor of Applied Studies in Natural Science and Math provides core courses and general education requirements that would be included in the first two years of study at four-year institutions. This degree gives mathematics/science students the flexibility to match a program to their individual goals, backgrounds and talents. The various curricula provide the opportunity to pursue a variety of academic and career interests in mathematics and in the natural/physical sciences. The course distribution in mathematics and natural science is designed to provide a solid foundation in the basics of natural and physical sciences/mathematics: future advanced coursework will build on this foundation. The general education elective credits round out the curriculum in this degree program. Our students will be taught in: Astronomy, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Sciences, Geosciences, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics & Astronomy, and Statistics and Actuarial Science.
