Masters Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management

The Master of Food Science and Nutrition with an emphasis in Hotel/Restaurant Management is a non-thesis graduate degree program, which prepares students to serve leadership roles in the fields of hotel and restaurant management. This degree program allows students to pursue their career at home or work site through its DVD and computer-based distance education delivery scheme. Such a program option combines elements of traditional instruction with modern day delivery methods to extend educational opportunity beyond the limits of campus, allowing students to improve their educational credentials without disrupting their career or relocating their family.

 

The curriculum of the program includes such courses as Continuous Quality Improvement in Hospitality, Food Plant Sanitation, Advanced Service Management, Club and Resort Management, Recreational Foodservice Management, Directed Reading in Nutrition and Food Science, Advanced Topics in Nutrition and Food Science, Organizational Leadership and Change, Marketing and Consumer Theory, Advanced Human Resource Management, and more.
