Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering Graduates of the Master in Aerospace Engineering program apply scientific principles and engineering concepts and practices to design, build, test, analyze, operate and maintain aircraft and spacecraft. Career opportunities for them include working as members of research teams, managing technical and research staffs, becoming test pilots, astronauts, CEOs of airlines or running their own companies. The Auburn University Samuel Ginn College of Engineering allows students to pursue the Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering at their home or work site through its DVD and computer-based distance education program. The curriculum of the program combines elements of traditional instruction with modern day delivery methods to extend educational opportunity beyond the limits of campus, allowing students to improve their educational credentials without disrupting their career or relocating their family.
Masters Degree in Aeronautical Science The Master of Aeronautical Science program's solid core of classes partnered with a range of specialties that are tailored to individual interests. Throughout the program, students master the tools needed in the development, manufacture, and operation of aircraft and spacecraft, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the infrastructure that supports the industry. The MAS is available both on campus and online. The program has 8 concentration designed to provide deeper insight in the specialized areas of Aeronautics, Education Technology, Management, Operations, Safety Systems, Human Factors in Aviation Systems, Space Studies, and Space Operations Management (not available online).
Masters Degree in Aviation Science The Master's of Aviation Science Degree will offer aviation professionals such as flight crewmembers, air traffic controllers, flight dispatchers, maintenance technicians, and airport and airline management personnel the opportunity to significantly enhance their knowledge of the aviation community and aerospace industry and help them to pursue exciting and more challenging careers. Students will complete technical aviation coursework that will include intensive analysis of airway transportation systems, airport operations, aerospace communication systems, aerospace logistics, aircraft simulation, advanced crew resource management procedures, aerospace systems safety, and advanced security and safety program management.
