Associates Degree in Arts The Associate Degree is a 60-credit-hour degree designed to use as a transfer degree. Students who wish to complete a four-year bachelor’s degree would first complete the two-year Associate in Arts degree. The Associate Degree contains the 48 hours of general education courses required by any college in Kentucky that awards the bachelor’s degree. The Core Transfer enables students to complete the two-year Associate degree while at the same time taking classes that will count toward the bachelor’s degree. This degree is usually awarded to those whose major is in the field of social sciences or humanities. It is also awarded to General Studies students, those who decline to select an area of concentration.
Courses in Drawing for Beginners The course is designed for people interested in learning how to draw or increasing their current knowledge in the field of art and illustrating. The course covers such topics as paper types, drawing styles, rendering techniques, and the basic principal of perspective, layout, design, lighting, volume, and space. The participants of the course will explore human brain and discover how it functions to create art, memorizing and interpreting the world around and keeping everything slightly straight in the process. On completion of the course, the students will gain a solid foundation and understanding of the basics to drawing.
