We are living in the age of science and technology. In this modern
period information is transferred in a second it did not possible in
previous ages. Radio is an important invention of science. Radio is
a device through which we can easily get information without being
connected to the wires. Radio is a transmission of signals from one
media to another media. It is done through the uploading and
downloading of the frequencies. It also requires small amount of
electricity. Nowadays radio is used for the transmission of
information, entertainment, News, and Music.
Broadcasting
Different kinds of frequencies modulation technologies are used to
broadcast radio signals to an audience. Radio signals can be
categorized into three types of coverage areas such as:

• Global Coverage
The distribution of radio signals by using different kinds of

and cable system. But satellite system is one of the widely used

Earlier analog signals are used for the transmission of frequencies
but due to the introduction of new technologies now it is also done
through digital signals which are more reliable than analog signals.

techniques via satellite system.

internet radios are also available online and different stations are
working for the audience. This is done through live radio station
listed by different countries on their official web sites. This
service is transmitted via internet and it is easily accessible in
all over the world.
Radio on Mobile
Different mobile phone companies are also including radio
functionalities in their new mobile sets. It also increases the
users and everyone can easily access it and get the latest
information by the tips of fingers at a low cost.

There are four important factors considering the transmission of
radio programs.
Communicator
It is an essential part of the radio programs. It includes a person
or group who transfer the messages, produces a program, entertain
the audience by their programs such as music, news, stories,
conferences, shows etc. communicators are also called gate keepers.
Message
Message is any information which a communicator is sending to the
audience through a medium. A message can be News, Information, a
musical program, a conference etc.
Medium
A medium is defined as a definite path from where a message can be
easily transmitted by the transmitter and received by the receiver.
Satellite system, transmitted towers and cable system are used as a
medium for radio transmission.
Recipient
A receiver is a human being who receives the signals and listen the
programs and information broadcasted via different channels.
