Crop Production

Crop production is an academic subject related to agriculture and the mass production of crops. Students looking for careers in crop production can earn either undergraduate or graduate degrees in crop production, soil science and agricultural sciences.

Interested undergraduate students can earn an associate's or bachelor's degree in crop production from colleges with agricultural programs. Master's and doctoral degrees in crop production and related fields are also widely available. Crop production courses cover a range of subjects, such as farm accounting, plant nutrients and horticulture.

Individuals with undergraduate or graduate education in crop production are prepared for careers in food production, agriculture and business. A bachelor's degree in crop production might lead to employment in farm consulting, agriculture sales and government bureaucracy. Students with graduate degrees in crop production work as soil scientists, agriculture professors and farm managers.
